Sandholm Morar is situated on the spectacular
West coast of the Scottish Highlands

By Road

The scenery on the road to Morar - the beautiful Road to the Isles - makes the journey a pleasure with wonderful views to enjoy en route. Morar is well signposted with access via the A830 (The Road to the Isles).  Take the 2nd turnoff signposted Morar.  The road passes a school on the left and a garage on the right.  Sandholm is halfway up the hill on the left and is signposted at the road.  A detailed route map is available from the AA website route planner.

Car hire is available in Fort William - try Slipway Autos.

By Rail

Scotrail runs a regular service from Glasgow Queen Street along the famous West Highland Line.  There is also a sleeper service to Fort William. Sandholm is only a short walk from Morar Station, however, we can meet our visitors at the station.  Timetable details are available on the Scotrail website

By Air

You can travel by air to Glasgow, Inverness or Edinburgh Airports from where you can hire a car.  If you intend to continue your journey by rail, it is more convenient to fly to Glasgow or Edinburgh.

By Ferry

If you are coming to Mallaig from the Isle of Skye then you need to board the ferry at Armadale. This service is operated by Caledonian MacBrayne. Their website contains full details of timetables, prices, etc.
